How We Build

Materials, machining, finishing, and assembly—each step is there for a reason, and each decision is meant to show up in the putter.

Chapter 01

Design Philosophy

Every detail has a purpose. That applies to the visible parts—like shape and finish—and to the less obvious ones, like weight distribution, material choice, and face milling pattern.

We are not interested in adding features just to have more to say. We would rather make fewer decisions, make them carefully, and make sure each one improves the putter in a way the player can actually feel or see.

Shape

Clean forms that sit clearly at address.

Feel

Materials and construction chosen for solid feedback.

Roll

Custom face milling designed to promote consistent roll.

Weight

Balanced mass that supports a steady stroke.

Finish

Surface options that affect glare, look, and confidence.

Restraint

Nothing added unless it earns its place.

MACHINATIONS

Chapter 02

Materials

We choose materials based on how they machine, how they hold a finish, how they feel at impact, and how they hold up over time. The current Contessa uses 303 Stainless Steel because it fits those requirements well.

As the line grows, the material may change from model to model. The standard will not. The material should fit the design, not the other way around.

Chapter 03

Machining

We machine from solid stock because it gives us control over the shape, weight, surfaces, and face. That control matters. It lets us make the putter the way we intended, instead of working around compromises later.

The face milling pattern is part of that thinking. It is designed to promote roll and to contribute to the feel of the putter at impact. It is not there just to decorate the face.

Chapter 04

Finishing

Finishing is not separate from performance. Edge treatment, surface texture, and final finish all affect how the putter looks at address and how clearly the head presents itself to the player.

We treat finish as part of the design, not as something added at the very end just for appearance.

Chapter 05

Influences

The Galliano point of view comes from engineering, machining, industrial design, and well-made tools. We like products that feel clear in their purpose. You can usually tell when something was designed by people who care about how it works, not just how it photographs.

Material is chosen because of what it does. A line or edge exists because it improves the way the putter looks or performs. Finish matters because it changes how the head sits in light. Small things count when the club is in your hands.

Chapter 06

Assembly & Standard

Once the head is complete, the putter is assembled, checked, and prepared to ship. Loft, lie, length, grip, and overall presentation all matter. The last stage should be as deliberate as the first.

The standard is straightforward: use good materials, machine with care, and keep the design honest. Build in Texas and focus on choices the player can actually appreciate—shape, feel, balance, finish, and roll.
